As I write this comment I know Carp is out there on Blue Diamond getting some miles in. Love that big breakdown lane. Also, I will check with Carp and Chad M. if they did head over west to Parumph. I never had the legs or enough food in my pocket to climb that long, big hill. Additionally, local cyclists talk about that little climbing loop off of Blue Diamond in the Nat'l Park with awe. As far as I could see, they should come to the Black Hills and go up Nemo and Neck Yoke for some awesome anaerbic climbing. KenB
I talked with Chad M and Carp who are in Vegas heading to get their rental bikes. I hope they get some miles in over at Blue Diamond...rather than being sucked in by the Siren Song of the Casino !!! and , of course, the Buffets...
Yes sir, We got in a nice 50 mile loop. The climbing here is so easy compared with the hills. The dude at the shop was talking about 7-8% grades and I was thinking about the 17% grade I climb on my way home from work every day. It was nice to get out but much easier than we thought.
We rode from McGhies up Red Rock Canyon, did Calico loop and then road to Blue Diamond then back.
